Something New Is Coming…

Here at ReadyForZero, we’ve vowed to never get complacent in our quest to help people get out of debt.  That’s why we’re excited to give you a taste of what we’re about to release in the next couple of weeks.

Just over one year ago, our co-founders, Rod and Ignacio, started ReadyForZero in order to solve a real problem that they saw people all around them struggling with.  Their friends, family, and co-workers were all trying to get out of debt, and most of them said that what they really needed was a better way to organize all their debt in one place and make a plan for paying it off.

Since that very first day, ReadyForZero has been based upon a commitment to build something people need.  As Rod recently put it in an article for Fast Company Magazine,

“Startups should make something that solves problems.  If they do, they’ll get loyal customers.”

So our strategy has always been pretty simple:  Focus on what you, our users, want and need.

And we’re lucky that so many of you have been willing to share your ideas and questions with us, because it has helped us figure out what we need to improve upon and what we need to add.

For example, a user named James sent us an e-mail in which he told us,

“I love ReadyForZero.  However, I need a different way to plan.  For most of us paying debt off we tend to plan each paycheck.  Since I get paid every two weeks I can either get two or three pay days depending on the length of the month.  Planning by the month might work for some but I really need to be able to plan by each paycheck.”

That’s a great point, and we’ve heard from many others who say they need more flexibility to schedule payments.  Pretty soon, we’re going to make it possible for you to customize a get-out-of-debt plan no matter how often you’d like to make payments. It’s something we’re working on.

Another example of user feedback was when we talked to Felipe a few weeks ago and he revealed,

“I wish there was more to do on the website because I just like logging in.”

We were thrilled that he got such a positive vibe from logging into ReadyForZero, and we can imagine it’s because he felt excited about taking control of his debt and seeing the progress he was making towards his goals.  So we’re developing some more actions you can do on the site to help you streamline your financial life and pay off your balances even faster.

All of this feedback from our users is inspiring and motivating, but can you guess what has been the most common request we’ve gotten so far?

This e-mail from Sharon sums it up:

“How about allowing car loans and even mortgages to be added to the site?  Instead of just strictly credit card debt, what about all debt?”

We want to help you get out of debt, period.  Not just credit card debt.  And that’s all we’re going to say about that for now!

We’re continuing to challenge ourselves to find new and better ways to improve our site and help people eradicate their debt.  As long as you keep telling us what you need, we will keep listening… and keep working.

We’re excited to soon unveil some of these things that we’ve been working on, and we can’t wait to share them with you and see what you think.

Are you curious yet?  Keep checking back here over the next two weeks, and you’ll find out all the details!

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak at one of the new features we’re working on:

And as always, thanks to James, FelipeSharon, and everyone else who is using ReadyForZero to conquer their debt!  We’ve appreciated your patience as we’ve worked to make improvements to ReadyForZero.
