If you read any personal finance blogs besides this one, you may have noticed a shared buzz among personal finance bloggers over the last few weeks. October 17th was the kickoff to FinCon, an annual conference that was created to give financial bloggers all over the U.S. and Canada an opportunity to meet in person and learn from one another. With over 500 attendees, FinCon offers an opportunity to put faces to the names behind personal finance blogs.
And this year that included your faithful blogging team here at ReadyForZero, as two members of our team — our blogging leader Ben and our incredible community leader Shannon — made the trip to the conference.
At FinCon, they brainstormed with other bloggers, compiled useful tips and information to bring back to our readers, and spread the word about ReadyForZero and our mission to help Americans pay off debt.
And while they were there, they also were very honored to accept a Plutus Award on behalf of all the ReadyForZero writers and contributors!
We’re so excited and humbled that the ReadyForZero blog has been recognized in this way!
More importantly, we wanted to share the news with you because your feedback and encouragement have motivated us to continue striving to create the best blog for people who want to pay off their debt, stabilize their finances and build their wealth. Our goal to provide quality information and genuine inspiration on a daily basis has led us to this point.
In other words, this award is another reminder of and motivator for our long-term goal: helping people to gain control over their finances and conquer their debt.
So here’s a big THANK YOU for your ongoing readership and support! Your attention and interest is something we hold in the highest esteem and we couldn’t be happier to have such a wonderful community of people committed to the ReadyForZero mission. As always, let us know how we can keep improving!
